Tiësto – Chasing Summers

The run down: Great track, expected more from my (former) main man. Check it!

Off his forthcoming album, Club Life Volume Two: Miami, Tijs Verwest releases a very stereotypical progressive house track.  ”Chasing Summers” has all the aspects of a classic banger that you could be looking for, and if it was from any other producer I’d be raving about it; the beautiful, uplifting intro that slams into a powerful drop which completely changes the dynamic of the track; the shifting bassline that has been meticulously worked on by the hands of a professional, etc. HOWEVER! this is not a lesser producer that has just struck gold. This is Tiësto, he’s as much of a household name as you can get in the EDM industry. In discussion with fellow PB&J™ writer, GMM about this, we were saying how with such a big name and a very hyped album, one should be floored by the track with thoughts of  ”WHAAAAAAT is this beautiful, unique sound?!?!” (2:00 – 4:30 of “Carpe Noctum” or first 1:20 of “Elements of Life“) but we, unfortunately, are not.
